A New week with so many opportunities to be the change you want to see in the world.
With the super bowl approaching I am working on recipes I might serve is I decide to have a Super Bowl Party this year….which I am seriously thinking about doing.
To stay inline with my goal to reach my goal weight by the end of 2017 though I need to be sure what I serve is not just bariatric friendly for me but also tasty enough to serve my friends and family.
So into test kitchen mode I go.
One thing that seems to always be a hot and they disappear pretty quick at parties and gatherings are deviled eggs. But I wanted to put a little twist to them.
Lately I have really enjoyed avocados…so how about adding THAT to an egg dish?!
Hmmm adding the creamy goodness of avocado to deviled eggs? Sounds good to me!
Another thing I did was use a garlic mayonnaise.
This stuff is really good. Have you seen it? Tried it? What do you think?
A tip for new weight loss surgery peeps is get yourself and mini chopper.
I am serious! It saved me so many times, especially early in my journey after surgery. If something was too dry or I was having a hard time I would actually add it to this wonderful device and add something to moisten it up. I have actually had this for years. I would puree my kids food as babies and yes the initial weeks after surgery that is essentially the only texture of food most can tolerate…Pureed foods.
Look at how smooth it made the egg mixture:

So I fancied them up and we had this for dinner.
Why not right?
We are worth the effort to make things look a bit fancy for no reason at all.
